How it works

Get an overview of the Reformer Pilates instructor training. You’ll learn about the requirements for participation, the training process, how to obtain your certificate, and what opportunities await you after completing the teacher training.

 
    • At least 10 completed Reformer Pilates classes in a studio

    • Valid instructor certification (e.g., Mat Pilates, Yoga, or similar discipline)

    • To be eligible for the exam, you’ll need to attend all 4 modules (4 days in total, 5 hours each). This ensures you have the full foundation and feel fully prepared to succeed.

    • You have to complete small exercises/homework assignments at your own pace.

    • Can be completed at the Reformer Club (free if spots are available) or at another studio

    • Purpose: actively join classes to deepen your own practice & body awareness

    • Minimum for certification: 5 classes

    • Attend at least 3 classes

    • Purpose: watch how instructors teach, cue, adjust, and manage the group

    • Recommendation: observe as many different instructors as possible to broaden your perspective

    • Minimum of 5 hours of Reformer teaching with friends or family 

    • Use of the Reformer Club personal training room outside of class times is possible

  • Pass the practical exam.

    No written theoretical exam required.

  • Start Teaching – Gain experience by working as a substitute instructor and building studio connections.

    Keep Learning – Expand your skills with advanced workshops like Jump Board, Prenatal, Postnatal Pilates...

    Practice & Improve – Teach regularly to refine your style and grow as an instructor.

    Network & Specialize – Connect with other trainers and explore specialization opportunities.
